About ITPED
The Institute of Technology & Policy for Electricity Distribution (ITPED) is a Resource & Knowledge Centre established by the All India Discoms Association (AIDA) to strengthen India’s electricity distribution ecosystem through research, innovation, policy support and capacity building.
Conceived as a Centre of Excellence, ITPED aims to bridge the gap between knowledge and implementation by providing distribution utilities with access to cutting-edge technologies, policy insights, technical expertise and best practices. It will serve as a collaborative platform for member DISCOMs, policymakers, researchers, industry experts and academic institutions to address the evolving challenges of the power distribution sector.
With a strong focus on technology, regulatory excellence and collaborative problem-solving, ITPED will support India’s transition towards a smarter, more resilient and future-ready power distribution network while contributing to the nation’s vision of sustainable energy development.
