The platform for India's electricity distribution sector
The All India Discoms Association (AIDA) is a not-for-profit collaboration platform representing the full breadth of India’s electricity distribution utilities, including state owned distribution companies, private sector DISCOMs, and distribution franchisees.
AIDA was established in 2024 to bring electricity distribution utilities across India onto a common platform. The association enables utilities to share operational insights, address sectoral challenges, exchange best practices, and engage with policymakers and regulators on issues affecting electricity distribution. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, AIDA works to strengthen the distribution sector and support reliable and affordable power delivery across the country.
Electricity distribution is a licensed, tightly regulated business, Improvement is cost efficiency and operational performance directly translate into better service and more affordable electricity for consumers. AIDA works to support those improvements, across the sector, at scale.
